Frequently Asked Questions
General answers to the questions we hear most often. For anything specific to your account, please get in touch.
What does Obseq do?
Obseq provides payment infrastructure, liquidity, and settlement services. We work with businesses and institutional partners, and offer an app for individuals to send, receive, and hold money.
Who can open an account?
Eligibility depends on your country of residence, your account type, and the outcome of our verification checks. Both individuals and registered businesses can apply, subject to the applicable onboarding requirements.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verification is required by financial regulation and helps protect the platform against fraud and financial crime. You will be asked for a valid government-issued ID, and businesses are asked for company and ownership documentation.
How long does verification take?
Most individual checks complete within minutes. Some submissions are reviewed manually and can take longer, particularly for businesses. If we need anything further, we will contact you at the email address on your account.
How long do payments take to arrive?
Timing depends on the corridor, currency, and receiving institution. Many payments settle the same day, while others follow local banking cut-offs and clearing schedules. The status of every payment is visible in your activity history.
What fees apply?
Fees vary by product, currency, and payment route, and any applicable fee is shown before you confirm a payment. Business pricing is agreed as part of onboarding.
Can a payment be cancelled or reversed?
Once a payment has been submitted it can be difficult or impossible to reverse. Always check the recipient details before confirming. If you believe a payment was made in error, contact support as soon as possible.
Is my money safe?
We operate under applicable regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions we serve and use established banking and settlement partners. The specific protections that apply depend on your account type and location.
How do you protect my data?
Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the UAE PDPL, DIFC Data Protection Law, and the GDPR where relevant. We do not sell personal data.
Will Obseq ever ask for my password or a one-time code?
No. We will never ask for your password or a verification code by phone, email, or message. If someone does, it is not us — do not share it, and report it to support.
What text messages will I receive, and how do I stop them?
We send one-time verification codes and, if you enable them, transactional account and security alerts. We do not send marketing texts. You can opt out any time by replying STOP or by disabling SMS under Settings → Notifications.
Do you have an API?
Yes. Documentation is available at docs.obseqops.cloud and the full endpoint reference at api.obseq.xyz. Credentials are issued as part of business onboarding.
How do I contact support?
Email support@obseq.xyz. We aim to respond within one business day, Sunday to Thursday, 9:00–18:00 Gulf Standard Time.
