Mobile information. No mobile information — including your mobile phone number and your consent to receive SMS/text messages — will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The categories of sharing described above exclude text messaging opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third party. Text message opt-in data and consent are used solely to deliver the messages you have requested or enabled, and are shared only with our SMS delivery provider strictly to transmit those messages on our behalf.
7. SMS / Text Messaging
Obseq sends non-marketing SMS/text messages only to registered users who have a verified mobile number and who have consented. Two flows are offered:
- Account verification & security — one-time verification/authentication codes, sent only when you request them (for example, during signup, login, or password reset). You provide consent by checking the consent box on the “Enter your phone number” screen before continuing.
- Transactional & security alerts — optional payment confirmations and security notifications (such as a password or phone-number change). These are sent only if you turn on the SMS toggle under Settings → Notifications, which is off by default.
We do not send promotional or marketing text messages, and no SMS keyword opt-in is offered. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, by disabling SMS under Settings → Notifications, or by contacting support@obseq.xyz. Reply HELP for help.
No mobile information — including your mobile phone number and SMS consent — is shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This opt-in data is used only to deliver the messages described above and is shared only with our SMS delivery provider strictly to transmit those messages.
8. International Data Transfers
As a globally operating company, we may transfer personal data outside the UAE and the EEA. Where we do so, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this policy or as required by law. Compliance and transaction records are typically retained for a minimum of five to seven years in accordance with UAE AML regulations and applicable financial laws.
